Positioned on one of Sydney’s most beautiful beaches is the Dee Why RSL Club. The club is incredibly proud to offer its 47,000 members a comprehensive food and entertainment quarter. The venue can be hired to a range of various groups that include community, corporate conferences, weddings and education.

Behind the scenes is Bruce McLean and Greg Costello who both spoke to MEIKO about what was critical in choosing a warewashing solution for their annual 12 million food and beverage operations. With 4 restaurants and 6 bars, as the club expands so do the number of covers we service every day explained Bruce. The importance of having the most advanced technology available in our kitchens and our bars to be efficient and deliver a fast and really good experience for our customers. Our bistro alone serves 365,000 covers a year.

On first impressions MEIKO have provided a state of the art, extraordinary equipment that came with a full support back up.  We initially bought three machines and that’s just expanded and by the end of this year we will have complete MEIKO equipment throughout the club. Having the latest technology such as the M-iClean in the club is very important to us, it is very, very efficient, it uses less labour to deliver a sparkling clean glass, it is very quiet and the staff acceptance of that product is excellent. We must have reliable equipment in the club in that we cannot tolerate breakdowns, it’s just too busy.  So MEIKO is very solid, it doesn’t breakdown, we have less service issues and the dosages are limited on the chemical that keep the cost down. The product as I mentioned before is also very easy to use.

I would always recommend MEIKO equipment above the competitor as it’s a total solution. Their variables in their product range can suit each and every individual situation within the club and I thinks it’s a very efficient and cost effective way of delivery a product for our members and perhaps members in other clubs. Greg on the other hand coordinates the daily maintenance issues that arise for all the properties and businesses within the DYRSL Group.  There are 7 highly skilled Licensed Tradesman that keep the club running smoothly.
